The saucer shade throws light straight down over my kitchen table, which is exactly what I wanted instead of a glare bomb. The opal glass globe underneath gives it a nice soft glow when it's on. Install took me maybe twenty minutes.

Installed this over our kitchen sink and the downward light is perfect for chopping veggies without glare. The opal glass globe looks nice and diffuses evenly, though the metal shade had a tiny scratch on arrival.

The saucer shade points the light straight down over my dining table, which is exactly what I wanted. Only gripe is the mounting screws are short, so I had to swap in longer ones. Looks sharp once it's up though.
