The birds hang at staggered heights, which makes the whole fixture feel lighter than the boxy pendant it replaced. Even my husband, who never notices lighting, said it looks like they're actually flying.
These little metal birds really do look like they're gliding across the ceiling, and having each one at a different height keeps it from feeling static. Installation took me about an hour, but once it was up the light spread evenly over the whole dining table without any harsh glare.
The birds hang at staggered heights that catch the light beautifully, and the smooth finish makes them easy to dust with just a quick wipe. It's turned my dining corner into something guests actually comment on, which I wasn't expecting from a light fixture.
