The counterbalance spring is perfectly tuned, so the arm stays exactly where I put it without drifting. I've been using it for late-night sketching, and the warm-tinted shade keeps the glare off my eyes.

Bought this for my desk and the Paul Smith colorway is even better in person than in photos. The weighted base keeps it rock steady when I swing the arm around, and the matte finish doesn't pick up fingerprints. Genuinely the nicest lamp I've owned.

The color blocking is way more subtle in person than in the photos, which I actually prefer. The articulated arm holds position well and the spring tension feels solid, though the shade gets a bit warm if it's on for hours.
