Finely tuned with mechanical precision, the Anglepoise Original 1227 Brass Desk Lamp outfits the iconic task light with classy brass details and vintage color schemes. Using the same patented three-spring technology since 1934, the chrome tension points are replaced with brushed brass joints, retaining the familiar structure with an antique luster. Effortlessly flexible, the Original 1227 maintains structural integrity while providing reliable task lighting from the adjustable shade and arms.

The spring tension on the three-section arm is no joke, it holds position exactly where I set it and hasn't drooped once in two months. The brass finish has picked up a nice patina too, warmer than the photos suggest.

Carter J. ★★★★★

I've had cheaper task lamps that sagged the moment you nudged them, but this one actually holds whatever position I set it to. The brass joints have a nice weight to them and the three-spring arms move smoothly without any creaking. Two months of daily use and it still feels solid.

Sophia N. ★★★★★

The three-spring mechanism is ridiculously smooth, so I can pull the head right over my sketchbook and it just stays put. I paired it with a warm bulb and now it's the coziest corner of my apartment.
