Type 75 Task Lamp

I've wanted one of these since I saw it in a design museum gift shop, and the '70s silhouette finally lives on my desk. The arm glides into position with barely a nudge, though I do catch myself repositioning it just to watch the springs move.

The three-spring tension mechanism holds every angle I set, even after weeks of daily use. The weighted base keeps it from tipping when I pull the head close for soldering work, which is exactly why I replaced my old clamp lamp. Feels like a piece of design history that actually earns its keep.

The '70s styling fits my desk way better than the plain modern lamps I've had. That three-spring arm takes a little force to move but once you set it, it just stays put.
