I've got this clamped to my nightstand and it takes up barely any space, which is exactly what I needed in a tiny apartment. The spring-balanced arm moves smooth and stays right where I leave it. For a lamp this small it throws plenty of light for reading.
The little thing actually holds its position without drooping, which is rare for a lamp this compact. I keep it clamped on my drafting table and the warm LED is easy on the eyes during long sketching sessions.
Been using this on my nightstand for a couple weeks and the spring-balanced arm is the star — it holds whatever angle I bend it to and doesn't slowly droop like my old lamp. The mini size is genuinely tiny, which is exactly what I wanted for a cramped desk.
