Hung it in the hallway and it throws this warm, even light with no hot spots at all. The star shape looks delicate from below but it's clearly sturdy, and installing it on the ceiling only took maybe fifteen minutes.
It's lighter than it looks, so mounting it on the ceiling by myself wasn't the ordeal I expected. The light it throws is soft and even, though I do wish the cord were a bit longer for my higher ceiling.
The star shape casts a really pretty patterned glow on the wall, way softer than the plain flush mount it replaced. Only gripe is the install bracket felt a bit fiddly, but once it was up it looked great.
