Bought this for my drafting desk and the articulated arm holds any position without sagging, even fully extended. The weighted base keeps it steady, though it's heavier than I expected to slide around. Genuinely feels like a piece that'll outlast me.
The arm stays exactly where I put it, no drooping overnight, which surprised me for something this old-school looking. The paint finish feels heavier and more solid than the cheap desk lamps I've gone through. It's the first task light I've owned that I actually enjoy adjusting.
The spring-balanced arm holds exactly where I put it, so I can pull the light right over my sketchbook and it stays put. It's heavier than I expected in a good way, and the whole thing just feels solid on the desk.
