I use this on my balcony most evenings and the glare-free glow along the spiral curve is genuinely easy on the eyes. Battery holds up for a few dinners outside before I need to plug it back in.
The spiral shade throws light so evenly across my desk that I stopped noticing the bulb at all, which is exactly what I wanted. It's heavier than it looks, so it stays put when I bump the table.
Bought this to replace a bulky floor lamp in my reading corner, and the cordless design means I can actually move it to the couch at night. The logarithmic spiral shade throws a surprisingly even glow, though the battery only lasts a few hours on the brightest setting.
