The light it throws is surprisingly warm for an LED, nothing harsh or clinical about it. I've got it on my nightstand and the marble column looks way more expensive than what I paid.
That marble column base is way heavier than I expected, which keeps the whole thing from tipping when my cat brushes past it. The dimmer glides smoothly from a soft glow to bright enough to read by, and it looks like a sculpture on my nightstand even when it's off.
The light this throws is warm and even, nothing like the harsh glow from my old desk lamp. The cylindrical marble column gives it real weight, so it doesn't slide around when I bump the table.
