Hung it over the kitchen island and the slim profile basically disappears until you turn it on. The wood diffuses the LED so evenly there's no harsh hotspot on the counter, which was my worry with a linear fixture.
The warm LED glow through the wood frame is exactly what our dining room needed, and it looks way more expensive than it was. Dimming is smooth all the way down, no flicker at low settings.
The wood frame gives it a warmth that photographs don't quite capture, and the light it casts feels softer than typical LEDs. Installation took a bit of fiddling with the hardware, but once it was up, the single clean line totally transformed my dining room.
